About Us Dr. Tom Pezdek: Dentist
Tom Pezdek, DDS
Dr. Pezdek has practiced dentistry in the Raleigh area for over 40 years. He was a long-time private practice owner who transitioned away from practice ownership in 2023. Dr. Pezdek temporarily retired from clinical dentistry in 2023, but quickly missed serving/helping patients along with the complexities and challenges of dentistry. We are very fortunate Dr. Pezdek joined Six Forks Family Dentistry in October 2025.
Dr. Pezdek received his undergraduate degree from NC State University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UNC School of Dentistry.
Dr. Pezdek and his wife have four children and five grandchildren. In years past, Dr. Pezdek competed in triathlons and wind-surfed. Presently, he enjoys kayaking, paddle-boarding and working out at the gym with his wife.
Career Accomplishments
Dr. Pezdek perfected a 7-step technique for comfortable dental injections. His goal on every injection is that his patients feel little to nothing.
Dr. Pezdek also developed, taught and practiced Sedation Dentistry for high fear patients.
